Hershey Technologies Implements XenDocs’ AP Workflow to Streamline Freedom Communication’s Invoice Approval Process

 

La Jolla, California - February 12, 2008 Hershey Technologies, a leading document management and business process automation solution provider, today announced it has implemented a powerful AP workflow implementation project for Freedom Communications, using Hershey’s XenDocs Workflow and Content Server.

 

Freedom needed an automated workflow solution that would allow them to centralize and more easily manage the invoice review, approval and payment processes for its multiple businesses. Their current process allowed for a slow, inefficient method of manual invoice approval in disjointed, remote locations. This gave FSI absolutely no oversight into their process and cost them tens of the thousands of dollars. 

 

Based on dynamic business rules configured within a XenDocs Workflow process, invoice approvals can be highly automated or the invoice can be routed, in parallel and sequentially, to the appropriate people at remote locations for their sign-off,” says Tom Castiglia, Product Manager for Hershey. “Regardless of which path the invoice follows, Freedom’s shared services team (FSI) has complete visibility and control over the entire process.”

 

Hershey’s XenDocs solution provided increased visibility into Freedom’s invoice process at both the entity and corporate levels. Freedom can now better manage the invoice approval process, making sure that only valid invoices are being paid and that invoices are attended to in a timely manner. The system also provides a detailed audit trail, which allows Freedom to ensure that the approval process for each invoice is in compliance with their business rules.
