Overview

Although SharePoint 2010 added a robust set of enterprise content management features, SharePoint still lacks a traditional document management style search interface for content types and document libraries.

Features
The XenDocs Search web part can be used in place of the traditional document library web part. It provides all of the common document library features, but extends them with a search interface into the library’s metadata. XenDocs Search includes the following features:

Query multiple columns using “and” or “or”

Query text and choice columns using operators for: exact match, not matching, begins with, contains, empty, or not empty

Query date and numeric columns with equals, not equal, greater than, less than, empty, or not empty

Displays a drop down list for any choice fields.

Displays a calendar picker for date fields

Sort search results by clicking column headers

Displays document in native viewer or using Vizit™ Essential or Vizit™ Pro
